Inspection & Assessment

Steamatic technicians will inspect the damage, prepare a cost estimate and develop a restoration plan. Steamatic technicians can begin work immediately upon plan acceptance.

Water Removal

Technicians will extract any standing water immediately. Quick action following water intrusion may help prevent further damage and mold growth.

Stabilize the Environment

Dehumidifiers are installed to control moisture levels in both the structure and contents. Dehumidifiers pull moisture from the air and return warm, dry air. The process is assisted by high velocity air movers to evaporate moisture.

Monitor Drying Process

Steamatic technicians will regularly monitor the drying process with various moisture meters for wood, concrete, floors and walls. Temperature and humidity measurements are taken throughout the drying process.

Relay / Replace Flooring

Carpets and flooring can be relayed or replaced once the structure is clean and dry..

	After assessing the damage, your Steamatic representative will prepare a Scope of Work, including the cost estimate. Once the Scope is approved by you and your insurance company Steamatic will begin the work.
	Steamatic will work with your insurance agent / adjuster throughout the restoration project.
	When the work is completed, you and your Steamatic representative will conduct a final walk-through to confirm that all work has been completed to your satisfaction.

Water Damage

Turn off the source of the water and call a repair service.

Elevate all furniture, even upholstered furniture with skirts, on unstained wood blocks. (If wood gets wet, DO NOT oil as it will not allow water to escape from the wood.)

Remove all shoes, clay pots, magazines, papers, or anything lying on the floor that might leave a stain.

Call STEAMATIC immediately to assist you.

Smoke or Fire Damage

Immediately turn off heating and air conditioning system to prevent migration of soot and odor to the remainder of the dwelling. If you must use it, change the filter first.

DO NOT let anyone touch or sit on soft goods (draperies, bedspreads, upholstered furniture, etc.)

Vandalism

If water or smoke damaged, follow steps listed above.
